This Spencer, TN lakefront home tour takes you inside a home built around the lakefront lifestyle. From the log-cabin-inspired architecture and warm lodge character to the water just outside, this property feels much more like a retreat than a conventional Tennessee home.
The setting is a major part of the story. The home sits within a gated, planned community where the surrounding lakes, natural landscape, and outdoor lifestyle become part of everyday living. Inside, the wood finishes, soaring spaces, and lodge-style details reinforce that feeling, while outside the waterfront and private dock create opportunities for relaxing, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the lake.
All the details of this property discussed in this video.

Have you ever wondered what the allure is of waterfront property in Tennessee?
Well, today we're going to answer that question with this tour of this beautiful home at 2442 Long Branch Road here in Spencer, Tennessee - The Lodge at Long Branch Lakes. So come with me. Let's go take a look.
This property is just over 2,600 square feet and is three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, on two levels and two acres.
This community is a private, gated community of custom homes built both lakeside and off-lake. It is also an equestrian community, and it is perfect for primary residents, especially for work from home. It is also a great vacation rental or seasonal home for the right owner. It could be a retreat, a great retirement home or forever home.
You can see here on our front porch, we do face easterly. Imagine sunrise coffees here on your front porch looking out. Because it is a private community, there is no through traffic. Again, it's nice and reserved for those quiet moments that you may want to have.
Coming on in here, we'll talk more about the community in just a second.
The reason why we call it "The Lodge" is because it has a very lodge-like feel with all of the beautiful wood that we have here. Immensely tall ceilings, beautiful wood all around, wood floors and wood walls.
From the moment you walk in, you really get the feeling of, "Oh my goodness, think about holidays here." I would put an immense Christmas tree up because you would easily have 15 or 20 feet that you could put up here. But also think about Thanksgivings and family gatherings. It's tremendous.
I'll come and show you one of the really cool features of this property.
This is the solarium. It is on the southwest corner of the property, so it gets a ton of natural light, as you can see. It goes out to the back deck with views of the lake itself.
Stay tuned until the end because we will go outside and see the lake and all that it has to offer.
Let me show you the owner's suite since it's right here. It's a decent size, approximately 12 by 15, and looks out over the front yard. There are dual walk-in closets and, again, natural light looking out at the property.
The owner's bath is nicely finished. The glass-block design allows natural light to come in from the solarium over your garden tub, and you also still have a standing shower.
Will you guys tell me what you think? Do you like the wood? Don't like the wood? Because the truth is that with lake homes, you really get about every type that you could want.
This property is unique because it does have a very large feel.
This would be your dining space, so you could still fit a good-sized table here. Let me show you why that works.
First of all, look at this kitchen. Immense kitchen. Tons of cabinet space, tons of countertop space, plus the huge island. If you're preparing or cleaning, you still get to look out over the property's front yard, and there's tons of natural light.
Because of the size of this kitchen, you can have a large dining room table here. Even though you have a full dining area, you could put a buffet against that wall if you wanted.
Then you also have the screened-in porch, which we'll take a look at in just a second. Because the porch is screened, the windows don't have to be. They could become a food-prep pass-through.
Once the food is done and you're ready to dine out on the screened patio, you could do that. Just pass it through the window or walk around.
Here we have the fully equipped laundry with more cabinets and folding space.
Now here's a truly unique feature about this home. What is this smaller, fairly nondescript room?
This is your storm shelter.
We don't get a ton of storms here, but when we do, having this at your property would be a huge benefit. It's encapsulated in concrete and totally secure so that in the event we have a bad storm or tornadoes, you can be safe and secure in this room.
It includes a steel door, but it's ventilated with electricity and lighting so you can ride out the storm in comfort.
A lot of houses may just have an interior closet, or you may have an aftermarket storm shelter that you put in your garage, but this one actually has it built in right off the laundry. That's a pretty cool feature.
In the garage, we have a three-car garage with insulated doors. Again, the wood finishing continues here inside the garage.
There's more storage, and it's nice and deep as well, with eight-foot doors and a separate storage room off the back of the garage. It's a very, very nice garage.
Before we see the outside amenities, we're going to take a look upstairs.
We do have a powder room down here. This is the half bath, which is great when you're entertaining or you're just downstairs and don't want to go all the way to the primary suite.
Continuing upstairs, right at the top of the stairs are views of the lake. You can see down into the entire main living room.
Then there's a nice, large loft with its own front patio and more natural light. It could be a play area, home office or library. Your imagination is the only limitation.
Coming outside, if you don't want your coffee on your downstairs front porch, you can have it on your upstairs front porch.
Beautiful, lush greenery. Tennessee wildlife comes to visit. Blue skies. Absolutely gorgeous.
What do you guys think about that?
The owner's suite is downstairs, but the two bedrooms upstairs off the loft are also both ensuite.
We've got these massive dormers, which actually provide a lot of space here in the room. You could put a twin bed here, or you could put a sitting area there by the window and put a larger bed against this wall.
Then we have our ensuite bathroom as well, with a standing shower and more views.
Coming across, this room is a little bit interesting. This room does not have carpet. It has more of the hardwood floors. Again, you have a view out to the front and still an ensuite bath.
They were clever when they built these. The closets both have walk-in closets, but they're tucked behind the bathroom doors, so they don't take away from the construction.
Why this room is different is that it has access to the attic space over the garage. You have some additional storage space there.
We also have a mini-split here. The room is connected to the HVAC system, but the mini-split helps keep it balanced.
So this is the house itself, which is lovely. Now we're going to take a look at the grounds.
Let me know in the comments what you guys think so far about this. If it were yours, what would you do differently? Would you make any changes? Would you keep it the way it is? How would you decorate it? What style of furniture would you put in? Let me know your thoughts.
Because it is outside Spencer, Tennessee, it's about 20 to 30 minutes to grocery stores and things of that nature. So it is a little bit of a ways out. You plan accordingly. Maybe you make weekly trips into town as opposed to daily.
This property also has the shed and workshop. There's a covered area for your boats, mowers or things of that nature.
There are no motorized boats on the lake, but kayaks, canoes and things of that nature are permitted.
Now, as promised, we're going to take a look at the lake itself.
You can also see the log-cabin construction of 2442 Long Branch Road.
You can see some folks enjoying a nice afternoon on the lake. They have fishing and kayaking. It is also an equestrian community, so there are horse properties and horse facilities, which is nice.
This community is still being built out. It is not finished. You can buy lots and have the home of your dreams constructed, or you can buy one that's already here.
You can see neighbors building their homes, and there are still lots with waterfront access.
This community has lots of amenities. You can see the clubhouse with a pool and dock.
All the boats do have to be out of the water at nightfall, but they just have to be shored. They don't have to be put away. They just want them out of the water.
One of the other draws is that this is minutes from Fall Creek Falls, which is a massive state park here in Tennessee and a major attraction. If people come to visit, that's something to do.
One of the things I like about this house is that it helps you feel like you're on vacation every single day.
So there we have it: 2442 Long Branch Road here in Long Branch Lakes - The Lodge at Long Branch Lakes.
If you'd like more information on this property or to find the waterfront property of your dreams, let me know.
And we're back! I totally forgot to show you guys the screened-in porch and the back deck.
Here we are. The screened-in porch has a full view of the backyard and the lakefront.
You can hear a loon going off right now.
The porch also comes out to your uncovered back deck. If you wish to cook out here or have other seating in the open air, you definitely can.
That comes through to the solarium that we saw earlier.
